Not a scan. A rule-based model.

Our calculator uses a rule-based model built from published Instagram engagement studies across 10 niches and 6 markets. It combines three signals: your niche's natural peak window, your primary audience's timezone, and Instagram's format-specific distribution patterns for Reels, Posts and Stories.

๐Ÿ•’
Niche behaviour
Fitness creators peak early morning. Food creators peak at lunch. Finance content does best on weekday mornings. Each niche has its own natural engagement window.
๐ŸŒ
Audience timezone
When your followers are most active depends entirely on where they live. India peaks at different hours than UAE or the US. We shift your heatmap to your audience's local time.
โ–ถ๏ธ
Content format
Instagram distributes Reels, static posts and Stories differently. Reels get early pushes in the algorithm. Stories are consumed throughout the day. Posts live longer but spike immediately after posting.

Yes - significantly. Instagram gives each post a short window (roughly 30-60 minutes) to generate engagement before the algorithm decides whether to push it wider. If your audience is inactive during that window, reach drops sharply.

No. Reels have a longer shelf life because they live in the Reels tab. Static posts are more time-sensitive - they spike immediately after posting and decline quickly. Stories are the most time-sensitive of all since they disappear after 24 hours.

Pick your largest audience segment. If 60% of your followers are in India, pick India. If you're truly split between two markets, consider posting twice - once for each timezone's peak window.

For Reels: 4-5 per week. Static posts: 3-4 per week. Stories: daily. Consistency matters more than frequency.
